Dr. Aaron Karnilow currently has staff privileges at Northside Hospital and Northside-Forsyth Hospital as an affiliate independent Professional Psychologist.  Dr. Karnilow is Board Certified in Clinical Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology, and a fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Psychology.  He maintains an office in Alpharetta, where as part of his practice he works in Marriage and Couples Counseling, Corporate Executive Counseling and Life Coaching.

 

Aside from his professional pursuits, Dr. Karnilow enjoys biking and tennis, and is working on a book about artificial intelligence.  He also lectures on the topic of human beings as an evolving intermediary species.  Dr. Karnilow presently resides in Roswell, Georgia, with his wife, son and two curly coated retrievers.

Meet Dr. Karnilow

 

Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Aaron Karnilow has lived and practiced in the South for over twenty five years.  He has a B.S. from the City College of New York, and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Michigan State University.  Early in his career, Dr. Karnilow left the corporate world to pursue his dream career in psychology – guiding individuals in obtaining their life goals.

 

For many years, Dr. Karnilow was Chief of the Department of Rehabilitation Psychology at one of the largest hospitals in the United States.  He has worked on state and national mental health legislation, including his early work with Florida Representative Claude Pepper, which at the time effectively broke the barrier to the inclusion of mental health in healthcare insurance in America. During his military career, Dr. Karnilow was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, where he gained first-hand experience working with the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD) that are now plaguing the military, retired military personnel and their families.

 

Dr. Karnilow's office is conveniently located in the Northside/Alpharetta Medical Campus (Off Exit 10 on Route 400) in Alpharetta, Ga., and easily accessible from Alpharetta, Cumming, Johns Creek, Milton, Roswell, Sandy Springs, Windward and the Atlanta area.
